On July 8, the Chery Fulwin A9L plug-in hybrid sedan officially entered the market with a total of four trims at a price range of 149,900 – 207,900 yuan (20,890 – 29,000 USD). Earlier, the pre-sale opened on June 26 with a slightly higher price tag starting at 159,900 yuan (22,300 USD).
One hour after the launch, the official announced that the Chery Fulwin A9L had received 35,680 firm orders.
Positioned as a medium-to-large sedan, the length, width, and height of the Chery Fulwin A9L are 5018/1965/1500 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3000 mm. The drag coefficient is 0.23 Cd and the curb weights are 2085 kg & 2230 kg.
Consumers can choose from six exterior paints: green, gray, red, silver, purple, and black.
There are one roof lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars throughout the vehicle to support the onboard Falcon 500 advanced driving assistance system, which can realize high-speed navigation on autopilot and parking assistance. Additionally, under automatic emergency braking, the car can decelerate at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
Consumers can also choose from FWD and AWD, powered by the Chery Kunpeng super performance electric hybrid C-DM 6.0 system, which consists of an 1.5T engine, electric motor(s), and 33.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries , mated to a DHT Pro. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a peak torque of 220 Nm.
The cockpit adopts a double-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, and a 15.6-inch floating central control screen. The operating system comes from Chery’s Lingxi Smart Cabin 2.0 system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip.
Both 4- and 5-seater layouts are available. The 4-seater trim is equipped with a rear center console that is common in executive sedans, allowing the rear passengers to adjust the seats through the control panel. Ventilation, heating, and massage functions are also supported.
Other standard configurations include 256-color ambient lighting, nine airbags, automatic climate control, an AI voice assistant, and remote control via mobile phone.
