Chery Fulwin A9L PHEV with 2,000km range presale opens at 22,300 USD

On June 26, Chery’s new flagship sedan – Fulwin A9L – was opened for pre-sale, available in two-wheel and four-wheel drives with a price range of 159,900 – 229,900 yuan (22,300 – 32,000 USD). The official launch is scheduled for early July.

Positioned as a medium-to-large sedan, the Chery Fulwin A9L measures 5018/1965/1500 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3000 mm. The drag coefficient is 0.23 Cd.

At the same time, the four-wheel drive is equipped with an electric rear wing and can generate a 425 N downforce at 180 km/h.

There are 27 sensors around the vehicle to support the onboard Falcon 700 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), including a lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 8-megapixel high-definition cameras. The lidar has a detection range of 300 meters and a field of view of 120°. The ADAS can realize memory parking assist, highway and urban navigation on autopilot, and obstacle avoidance, just to name a few.

Power comes from Chery’s Kunpeng super performance electric Hybrid C-DM 6.0 system, which consists of a 1.5T engine and electric motor(s), mated to a DHTPro, and paired with 33.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries. The engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a thermal efficiency of 45.79% while the electric motor has a maximum power and peak torque of 160 kW (215 hp) and 310 Nm.

  • Two-wheel drive: combined power of 275 kW (369 hp) and torque of 530 Nm
  • Four-wheel drive: combined power of 470 kW (630 hp) and torque of 854 Nm

The official pure electric range is 260 km and the comprehensive range is 2,000 km with a full fuel tank and full charge. Under fast charging, it takes 14.5 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%.

Additionally, the official 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 4 seconds, the top speed is 210 km/h, and the moose test speed is 81.9 km/h. In a test drive, the 100 – 0 km/h braking distance is 33 meters.

Inside, the cockpit adopts a T-shape layout, featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel, a floating full-LCD instrument panel, and a 15.6-inch central control screen, powered by Chery’s Lingxi Smart Cabin 2.0 operating system with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip. The system supports an AI voice assistant, OTA updates, remote control via mobile phone, and mobile phone wireless screen projection.

Other configurations include a 23-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, and 50 W wireless fast charging for mobile phones.

Both 4-seater and 5-seater options are offered, and the 4-seater version is equipped with a refrigerator that supports heating and cooling (-18℃ to 55℃).
